Selena Gomez's Bad-Girl Moments

The former "Wizards of Waverly Place cutie shocked fans when she revealed she planned to co-star as one of the bikini-clad co-eds in the racy movie Spring Breakers directed by controversial director Harmony
Korine. In fact, Gomez advised her younger fans not to see the flick full of drugs, alcohol, violence and sex. Korine later explained that he couldn't even include some of the more explicit scenes in order to keep the 2013 film's R rating. In the party scenes a lot of things got really graphic, he said on the DVD of the movie. There were things I couldn't even show in the film that were probably crazy for the actresses to see. Meanwhile, the singer was photographed enjoying Miami during downtime from shooting, along with her on again/off-again beau Justin Bieber, co-star Ashley Benson, and Benson's former boyfriend Ryan Good.
Gomez found herself the target of criticism from pop star Pink in 2011, when she painted horses pink for her Love You Like a Love Song video shoot. Pink, who's 12 years older than Gomez, tweeted that, Artists should be more aware and responsible for their actions before she found out who was making the video. But Gomez stood her ground, and her rep issued a statement that It was important to the Production Company Record Label and Ms. Gomez that no animals were harmed and all proper precautions were taken. A non toxic, vegetable based powder paint was applied via an airbrush and removed with water. An official from the Humane Society was on set supervising. Eventually though Gomez cut the pink horses from the clip altogether.
The biggest Selena Gomez scandal to date happened when she placed a Bindi on her forehead for a Bollywood-themed performance at the MTV Movie Awards in April. Rajan Zed leader of the Universal Society of Hinduism issued a statement that read, "The bindi on the forehead is an ancient tradition in Hinduism and has religious significance. It's not meant to be thrown around loosely for seductive effects or as a fashion accessory aiming at mercantile greed. Selena should apologize and then she should get acquainted with the basics of world religions. Gomez didn't apologize and instead she rocked a Bindi several more times, although she did eventually explain why she went with the look. I think the song has that Hindu, tribal feel and I wanted to translate that, Gomez said on New York-based Z100's Elvis Duran and the Morning Show. I've been learning about my chakra and bindis and the culture  It's beautiful.
